Airlie Beach Information

Airlie Beach looking over Whitsunday Islands
|
|
Airlie Beach is a vibrant, cosmopolitan and inviting village lying at the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands.
Airlie Beach has a small beach enveloped by coconut palm trees, with a beautiful park and gardens. Looking out from under a palm tree you see the yachts anchored in Pioneer Bay, while on the horizon you can see Hayman Island, one of the famous Whitsunday Island Resorts.

Airlie is situated approximately 20kms east from the Sugar Cane Town of Proserpine and is on a peninsula surrounded by the bay one side and rugged mountains behind.
As you come into Airlie Beach from Proserpine, you will first pass through Cannonvale, which offers 2 major shopping centres. These shopping centres have the major store brands such as Woolworths and Coles, Big W and Target along with numerous small shops from hairdressers to hardware stores to clothing stores.
From Cannonvale keep heading towards Airlie Beach and you will rise up the hill, once at the top, stunning views to the left where you will look over Abel Point Marina and out to the islands. A further kilometre down the road and you arrive in Airlie Beach.
