Solway Lass 3 Night Island Cruise

Please note, these Itineraries are examples only, and will differ depending on wind and tides and the professional judgement of the Captain.
Day 1 - Saturday or Tuesday. Check in at our Office, Shop 1, 4 The Esplanade Airlie Beach.
Check in by latest 4:30pm, however if guests arrive in Airlie Beach earlier they are welcome to check-in.

After check-in, guests are welcome to leave their luggage in our office, then have some time to explore Airlie Beach, grab a bite to each, enjoy a walk along the beach.
Courtesy pickups from Airlie Beach are at 6.40pm for transfer to the marina. Depart the marina at 7.30pm and sail to overnight anchorage. Light supper is served around 9.30pm.

Day 2 (B,L,D) - After breakfast, make way to Tongue Bay for a guided bush walk to the Hill Inlet Lookout. A spectacular lookout overlooking Whitehaven Beach. Back on board Solway Lass enjoy lunch before heading around to Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy an hour at the beach before setting sail and heading north along the eastern side of Hook Island. Overnight anchor in one of the many bays on Hook Island. |

Day 3 (B,L,D) - After breakfast enjoy snorkelling and/or an optional Scuba Dive on the Fringing Coral Reefs which extend right from the edge of the islands. These reefs are teeming with marine life and the experience is memorable for the snorkelling novice through to seasoned snorkellers.
Enjoy lunch, before sailing off to another anchorage for a second snorkel, swim or simply relax at the beach. This evening will be spent anchored in Blue Pearl Bay of Hayman Island or in the Langford Reef Area. Both locations offer spectacular sunset photo opportunities as the Solway Lass is silhouetted against the sunset over the water.

Day 4 (B,L) - After breakfast enjoy snorkelling, swimming or relaxing on the beach, before lunch is served on-board. At around 1:00pm set sail and sail across the Whitsunday Passage arriving back to the marina at around 4:00pm with the courtesy shuttle transfer arriving back to Airlie Beach around 4:30pm.
Services end, although many of the guests will meet up tonight for a meal at a local restaurant . |

Solway Lass 6 Night Island Cruise

Please note, the 6 night itinerary is 2 x 3 night cruises. Half way through the cruise you return to Airlie Beach where the boat is reprovisioned. Guests are provided a voucher for a meal and a drink, which can be used at a local restaurant. Return courtesy shuttle to the restaurant is provided.
The captain of Solway Lass will mix the itinerary to ensure that the guests on 6 nights get to see different areas of the Whitsundays. It is important to note, that Whitehaven Beach and one or two of the snorkelling stops may be visited twice during the itinerary.
6 Night Cruise departs 7:30pm Saturday.
The itinerary is as per Days 1 to 4 above, then at 4:30pm on Tuesday afternoon, we transfer you to a restaurant in Airlie Beach. You will be provided with a voucher for a meal and a drink. At 6:40pm our shuttle will take you back to Solway Lass. Light supper will be served around 9:30pm this evening.

Day 5 (B,L,D) - After breakfast, make way to Nara Inlet for a guided bush walk. Back on board Solway Lass enjoy lunch before heading to Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy a couple of hours at the beach before setting sail and heading north past Border Island. Overnight anchor in one of the many bays, possibly Cataran Bay.

Day 6 (B,L,D) - After breakfast enjoy snorkelling or swimming on the Fringing Coral Reefs which extend right from the edge of the islands. Maybe just laze around on Solway Lass and read a book, lay in the bow net and watch the water lap on the bow. After lunch, set the massive sails and sail to either, Langford Reef, Black Island or Hayman Island area. |

Day 7 (B,L) - After breakfast enjoy snorkelling, swimming or relaxing on the beach, before lunch is served on-board. At around 1:00pm set sail and sail across the Whitsunday Passage arriving back to the marina at around 4:00pm with the courtesy shuttle transfer arriving back to Airlie Beach around 4:30pm.
Services end, although many of the guests will meet up with the crew tonight for a meal at a local restaurant . |
