Solway Lass, the Whitsundays Magnificent 127 ft Traditional Tall ship is the perfect vessel to use for a memorable wedding.  

The boat was 100 years old in April 2002 and has all the old world charm that goes with a sailing vessel from yesteryear.   The boat remains in excellent condition after major restoration works in 1983, 1999, 2002, 2006 & 2009.

During the 1980s and 90s on Sydney Harbour, approximately 1000 weddings were conducted aboard Solway Lass.
 
Solway Lass's rigging, lines and gleaming brass provides the perfect props to take many unique wedding photos.

Solway Lass is available for day charters on Saturdays between 8am and 4.30pm.  We recommend 60 - 75 passengers aboard the boat, even though we can carry more it becomes a little too cosy & makes catering etc difficult.

We can fine tune the schedule to suit your Wedding requirements

7.45am - Provision Vessel, decorate etc.  A cabin is available for the Bride
8.45am - Guests board - Departure is from Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach
9.00am - Bride comes up stair way onto deck, or makes way along Marina to Boat
9.15am - Depart Marina and motor to a suitable anchorage.
12.00p  - Ceremony on board Solway Lass, sign registry and toasts
1.00pm - Lunch (with large numbers we suggest finger food and platters)
2.00pm - Depart anchorage and set sails for a 2 hour sail
4.15pm - Arrive at Abel Point Marina
4.30pm - Depart guests.  A shuttle bus can be organised to transfer to accommodation, restaurant or function venue

Whitsunday Weddings Whitsunday Magic

Bring a piece of the Mediterranean to your special day, with a wedding aboard Whitsunday Magic.  Whitsunday Magic is a 3 mast Schooner built in the Mediterranean.  Today, cruising the Whitsunday Islands in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. 
 
Whitsunday Magic provides the perfect Wedding Platform, and with both a formal dining room and a aft deck area dining area, meals can be provided for up to 60 guests seated. 

For larger wedding parties, we can carry up to 100 guests, and food can be organised via platter arrangements and drink tray service. 

Whitsunday Magic is available for afternoon charters on Thursday’s between 2pm – 10pm. 
 
Prices for up to 70 guests, cruising aboard Whitsunday Magic from $70-$80 per person, and includes 8 crew to sail and manage the boat and bar operations. This price does not include drinks, food, entertainment or the celebrant.  

Whitsunday Magic is available for overnight charter from Thursday 2pm until 1pm Friday.
 
For a one night charter we can accommodate up to 32 guests, and have 8 crew to sail and manage the boat and bar operations.  Prices on Application. Whitsunday Magic is also available for 3 night or longer Private Charter, so the lucky couple plus up to 34 family and friends can experience the wedding and celebrate for a few days as one group.
