In April 2010 the Explore Whitsundays Group purchased a new Dive Vessel to do Diving around the Whitsunday Islands

Dave Molloy, a director of Explore Whitsundays, said "The new vessel, named 'Tornado Dive' will allow us to keep up with the increasing demand from our guests to do Introductory or Certified Diving while on a Whitsunday Sailing Tour".   

Tornado Dive is a 58 ft Precision power boat.  Since arriving in Airlie Beach the boat has been undergoing work to install generators for power, dive compressors, tank refill stations, wash down area and all the necessary equipment for Diving.

Progress is going well, although one of the New Dive Compressors coming from Europe has taken longer than expected to arrive in Australia.

We aim to have the new vessel operational from mid June 2010. 

Our current rendezvous dive vessel will continue to operate until the changeover.

Diving is available on all Explore Vessels and can be
guaranteed by pre-booking at check-in.
